Grantham Farm Montessori School & Children’s House needed a new responsive accessible website.
They needed an accurate and easy to maintain website that had large prominent images showcasing the school and its green surroundings.
I reviewed the content, visual design and usability of their existing site after discussing goals with my client.
I created a short online user survey asking parents about the kinds – and priority – of information they need from the School’s website. The survey feedback helped inform further discussions with my client about the new site structure and content as I worked on information planning.
I also provided clear language advice on writing for the web.
I made a new lightweight visual identity for the site: new typefaces, colours and an interim logo.
The site uses the WordPress system my client was already familiar with.
A clearer structure, large images, and varied typography help make the site easier to browse and read.
Calls to action, like ‘arrange a visit’ and contact information on key pages, have helped increase admission inquiries.
