Communications and reports for the Sign Design Society

I was Communications & Social Media Lead on the Sign Design Society Steering Group (2015–2019). I set strategies for boosting awareness of the Society, better member engagement and improved communications.

My work included reviving their social media channels and developing new channels (including using MailChimp to send emails and monitor campaigns).

I also created an MS Word version of the member directory form for offline submission.

MailChimp templates

Planning and creating professional MailChimp templates. I drafted emails and arranged mailouts whilst managing the account. I later advised the administrator on how to use MailChimp (list management, sign-up forms, email templates) to create a variety of responsive accessible emails.

Reports for meetings

I managed several channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn group, Bitly and MailChimp).

Aside from proposing new initiatives, I prepared summary performance reports for Steering Group meetings. The reports were short and included how engagement and the Society’s reach had improved and ways we could do better.
